According to the analysis on the factors causing damage of the hinge joints in hinged voided slab bridges, this article put forward to the plans for strengthening of a bridge under the condition of open to traffic, which include the shear steel and transversly prestressing mothods, and it gives the result evaluation for using the shear steel method.
