Main failure forms of carbide rolls during the using process was studied,the failure causes and relevant preventive measures should be taken were discussed based on the preparing and using of carbide rolls.

This article introduced research and extendtion experience of high Cr alloy roller and straigthening roller applied in steel pipe and cold-rolled steel production line in recent 20 years,and discussed development direction of high Cr alloy roller and straigthening roller in the future.
