Following measures have been proved effective for prolonging service life of the dies : (1)Improving the annealing after forging to decrease the network carbide, chain carbide and carbide segregation; (2)Preprocessing to promote fine and even carbides; (3) Optimizing the quenching and tempering to strengthen the ferrite matrix; (4) Making surface strengthening treatment to improve wear resistnace.
