This paper cites Oidipous Tyrannos and Hamlet as examples to illustrates two different types of "laugh in tragedy", that is, comic plot and comic relief, holding that the tragic colour of Oidipous Tyrannos mainly stems from its comic plots while the comic relief in Hamlet relies on the limitation of human nature.
